Other Rites of Passage

As in other belief systems Pagans also have ceremonies for celebrating other rites of passage and stages of life. As well as ceremonies for the birth and naming of a new child and to note the passing of a loved one Pagans may also hold a rite for different stages of life: whether that is to celebrate becoming an adult (‘coming of age’) or a ‘croning’ to mark the female menopause.

As well as a handfasting held to celebrate the union of two people some Pagan couples choose to hold a ‘handparting’ to mark when they have decided to go their separate ways. A ceremony here would be to celebrate all that they have done together and to ask for the blessing of the Gods on their new, single lives.
If you would like me to conduct a rite of passage ceremony for you then please do get in touch.
